Buzzirk Mobile and Global Verge have partnered to allow Global Verge e-associates to sell their cell phones, which run on the zer01 network. This is creating quite a buzz in network marketing circles.
Buzzirk Mobile went public in the gifting suite at the 2006 Emmy Awards. You can even go the website and see a picture of Lindsey Lohan holding one of the phones. This company is trying to do something that has never been done before, using VoIP technology to offer unlimited any kind minutes for a flat monthly rate.
Global Verge and Buzzirk Mobile are requiring resellers to take a training course and pass an exam before they can sell the phones. Their websites must also pass strict inspection or they will not be able to continue as resellers.
Global Verge had a serious glitch in June of 2009, when members couldn’t get anyone on the phone for over 3 weeks, the computer system wasn’t showing updates to people’s accounts, and credit cards weren’t being charged. The company is now scrambling to get a new infrastructure in place before the cell phone craziness takes over.
The Buzzirk Mobile and Global Verge pairing has the industry buzzing, as well as the nervous breakdown Global Verge seems to have had. Global Verge is less than a year old, and it is trying to do some huge things with this cell phone roll out.
Global Verge’s e-associates may realize that even though the VoIP product is hot right now, there’s a lot more to selling than slappin up a cookie-cutter website and hauling in the money. There are basic marketing principles people need to know. Unfortunately, most MLM companies do a dismal job of training their members to be marketers.
The fundamentals of marketing are seldom taught in the training courses offered by network marketing companies. If members knew just a little more about marketing, they could run circles around the rest of the people in their organization.
You may be tempted by the Buzzirk Mobile and Global Verge offering, but my advice is stay away if you aren’t already a member. Go get a marketing education, and then make the choice of what company to promote.
