It is not uncommon for people to have medical questions about medications, treatments, and medical conditions. Even though there are many possible sources for answers to medical questions, people with a medical questions may not know the best source for answers to their medical question.

The Internet provides massive amounts of information regarding diseases, medications, and treatment options. Medical and health-related websites often have search functions that can help the viewer find the answer to their medical question.

Not all information available on the Internet is accurate. Some sources of medical information on the Internet may conflict with other information online or may be written in technical language with medical terms that are not easy for people who are not health care professionals to understand.

Doctors are often excellent sources of answers to medical questions. However, the person may have a medical question that is not related to their personal health in which case the physician may not be available to answer such questions.

Patient education programs at hospitals are designed to provide information for patients and the general public. A person with a medical question may want to ask a patient education program for information regarding the topic of their medical question.

People can find answers to medical questions about a medical condition at a support group for people or families affected by that condition. The availability of local support groups may be found in the local newspaper or by asking the hospital or related health organization.

If the medical question is related to a medical specialty, a specialist or the staff of the specialists office may have pamphlets and other information that could answer the medical question.
