The Benefits Of Catnip Tea

March 25th, 2009
by Carol G. Teabar

Catnip tea is made from an herb called catnip. A substance in catnip called nepetalactone, seems to have a soothing, calming effect, somewhat like a sedative. Many times people need the soothing, calming effect of a light sedative , and catnip appears to work well for many.

The gray green blooms of the plant can only be seen in summer when it blooms. The tea makers dry the leaves, stems and flowers of the herb in the preparation phase. These ingredients can then be put into hot water to make the famous Catnip Tea.

The tea is best used a maximum of two to three times a day. It works as an antibacterial and antifungal medication as well as a muscle relaxer.

Catnip tea is said to be safe, even for infants, and is sometimes given to babies to help with teething pain and fever. Parents sometimes take it to help them with stress related to teething problems, also.

Some parents like to freeze the catnip tea into a popsicle and hand it to their children to aid them and help them relieve the pain.

Catnip tea can be bought in its pure form or in tea bags which both provide the means to create the tea. The bags usually contain instructions on how to brew, mix and dosage the ingredients.

Drinking catnip tea regularly has shown to help with many problems related to pains and illnesses including stress relief, anxiety and nervousness, sleeplessness, easing both headaches and migraines, helping with stomach problems such as gas pains, colic in babies, indigestion and stomach ache, lowering the temperature of the body and ease the pains of toothache.

Catnip tea is highly sought after by people who like to use natural and herbal treatments for cures and treatments of illnesses and health problems. It is usually absolutely safe to use natural treatments and people are often surprised as how good they work.

For many years in our past history, many folks highly regarded the use of herbs for health purposes, as people back then did not have quick access to a medical doctor, and had no way of receiving medical services. Therefore, they had to rely on what they learned from their parents and from their grandparents.

Should you consider using herbs for your own medical purposes, it would be a good idea to do a lot of research, and get information from several sources on the herb, or herbs, that you are interested in, before you get involved in healing yourself with herbs.

That way, you will know all the pros and cons, and can make a well-informed decision. When dealing with our health, we want only the best, and most reliable, medications that are available to us.

Custom Lanyard Marketing

March 17th, 2009
by Hazel Frickson

Worn around the neck, a Custom Lanyard is excellent for identification and security purposes. Schools, tradeshows, businesses, special events, seminars and hospitals, as well as civic, fraternal and religious organizations find a Custom Lanyard a functional promotional item. There are a variety of materials from which they are constructed such as nylon which facilitates high detail silk screening imprinting. Polyester materials are the most popular because of its durability and long wearing elements. Tube lanyards are made from polyester formed in tubes. It presents a narrow width for those who prefer a lighter material around their neck. For stitching logos and other detail directly to the material, woven polyester is the material of choice.

The attachments for a Custom Lanyard adds to its funtionality. These attachments may include a keyring, hooks such as a J-hook, ovals and thumb hooks, a bulldog clip, lobster claw, even a cell phone loop. Most of these have a swivel movement, although one attachment was created without the swivel effect.

A Custom Lanyard provides security when added with accessories like a special badge reel that allows for swiping an ID or other entry card. This would also be pretty handy with many grocery stores using debit and credit cards that require swiping upon checkout. They also make great party favors when imprinted with a specified date or label for birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

A Custom Lanyard can be designed for every individual. To facilitate easy removal one accessory utilizes a plastic breakaway at the back of the neck instead over removing the lanyard over the head. The velcro breakway has the same removal technique at the back of the neck. To remove the attachment, a Buckle accessory releases it easily without having to remove it over the head and a special metal crimp insures additional security. Lanyards in red, green, yellow, white, black, brown and blue are available to blend with a wide range of business, school, or other logos. Silk screen designs are available for review before an order is finalized.

Designs for silk screens are available for review by the customer prior to final order. Depending on material, design and labor, most orders can be filled in less than two weeks. For retaining clients and increasing sales, lanyards are a great investment and they are reasonably priced. This is a “Stand Out” item among promotional gifts.

Steam Cleaner Usage Explained

March 15th, 2009
by Gordon Franzman

Steam cleaners are basically household-cleaners that have got a boiler to raise the temperature of tap water to as high as 240 to 310 degrees. This eventually transforms the water into a dry mist, which is quite fine. These particles, generally made of vapour, are very tiny in size thus increasing the capability to clean in very deep areas which are hard to manage.

Steam cleaners are considered to be quite flexible and versatile. They are used for household purposes as well as in industries. It is considered to be the most effective and realistic tools for cleaning and disinfecting, especially in places visited by masses like markets, sports complexes, automobile workshops and many other places. The best thing about steam cleaners is that they do not cause a threat to our environment. The steam cleaner does not use any harmful chemicals to do the cleaning process. It just requires normal water and makes it a perfect cleaning option by converting into vapor steam and proves beneficial for allergy sufferers. Therefore it is the most environment friendly. They are not hazardous to anyone’s health and thus are being used universally.

A steam cleaner would heat water so as to produce hot steam with a temperature of over 200F. This disinfects and also terminates many harmful particles such as fungi, molds and dust insects. Your family members can also inhale these airborne particles, if not taken care of properly. Vacuum cleaner basically works on the principle of sucking up all the dirt particles through the nozzle and deposits it in the dirt bag. On the other hand, a steam cleaner helps to loosen the dirt particles on the surface by using a hose tip, which is very hot. The dirt particles are now absorbed with the help of a cloth attached with the machine.

A steam cleaner is multitask performing appliance. It uses around 240 to 260 degrees Fahrenheit of dry steam and leaves no damp thereby leaving no options for micro organisms to proliferate. A steam cleaner has manifold tools associated with it to clean up different equipments. Steam cleaners are made to assist people in cleaning their houses effortlessly. The machine is also perfect for removing the molds from the damp areas in and out the home. These machines helps one to make clean everything in your homes from carpets to cracks on floors and tiles, the unreachable corners, drains, vents and many more beyond ones imagination.

Now the last thing which is left to be mentioned is how to choose which steam cleaner is best for you. For this you need to be very careful. Analyze everything related to it very accurately so that you do not end up making a wrong choice. Dont make choices by looking at the prices. Everything which is expensive need not be good for you. So check upon the quality and efficiency of the product. If you make the right choice everything else steam cleaner will handle.

How Much Does Liposcution Cost?

March 2nd, 2009
by Peter Griffinson

If you are looking for a new body for the new year and you want to know how much does liposuction cost? There are many factors that make up the cost of liposuction and can greatly depend on which area or areas of the body your looking to reshape. The length of the surgery is how your surgeon will start to price your liposuction surgery. Most surgeries that are performed in the United States are mainly the abdomen and thighs and will last anywhere from one to four hours.

There is an average price that most surgeons use and that is around $5000.00 to $7000.00 for a healthy weight individual. We as woman work really hard to get those extra places off where diet and exercise cannot remove. We need to turn to liposuction to achieve our dream bodies. That is why most of you are wondering how much does liposuction cost?

You can find a plastic surgeon that uses their office as the surgical room and save a little money that way. This is how the surgical fees are assessed. Of course the price does not include any extra places you decided to have removed each area is based on certain fees. It will depend on the number of interventions and the target areas you chose. There is no standard price applied to all liposuction procedures.

My suggestion would be to get out and speak to anyone you know who has had liposuction surgery. Find out how much they paid and the length of their surgery. It will vary greatly sometimes from newer physicians who need to build up a reputation and they may charge more than the experienced that has built up their clients and can charge a little less than the newer practices.

As many plastic surgeons state it is easier to be the first to work on a certain body area than to do repair work from a previous liposuction. So, this should tell you how much does liposuction cost? I would also look into the price differentiates between newer surgeons than experienced ones. The surgeons that are just starting out may charge you a higher fee than the experienced surgeons who has an established clientele.
