Do Tattoo Removal Creams Really Work?

October 5th, 2009
by Trippidi Brown

Tattoos are a normal thing for many people. You will see people who have them all over their body, to ones who only have a single tattoo. So what happens when you accidentally get a tattoo that later on you regret? You can look into a tattoo removal cream for a less expensive alternative to laser removal.

One of the biggest reasons that many people look to have a tattoo removed is because they placed a name on their body. Yes not a smart move, but we all do things that just are not smart. So these people want to know will a tattoo removal cream really take that tattoo off?

You will find different tattoo removal creams on the market in many locations. They are a much cheaper choice to the first choices you have. Plus these tattoo removal creams are a lot less painful too.

You will need to follow three steps in most tattoo removal cream kits. First you’re going to have to sand away the top layers of your skin. No it’s not that painful, though it sounds like it would not be much fun. This step may cause some redness but that will soon go away.

Most of these tattoo removal creams are tested and safe to use, you may experience a bit of redness on the skin from the first two steps. But nothing that will be lasting and it will go away quickly.

Finally you’re ready for the last step of the process that is applying the tattoo removal cream to the tattoo. It’s made so that when it touches the ink it will break the ink molecules up, causing the tattoo to fade from your skin.

But yes it seems that in most cases these tattoo removal cream packs do actually work, if you check out on line you can see a few videos that will show the process even. The prices are a lot cheaper than the other choices that you can think of when it comes to having a tattoo you’ve grown tired of removed. Check out the different tattoo removal creams on the market and read other reviews.

Tattoo Removal and Your Options

July 28th, 2009
by Claudette Trippidi

Tattoos are one of the permanent things you can do to your body that actually aren’t exactly permanent. There are a variety of methods widely available today for getting a tattoo off your skin. Let’s address a few of the more talked about techniques for tattoo removal and the relevant information for each technique.

1. Tattoo Removal Creams and Kits.

Tattoo removal creams are an over the counter product designed as a “do it yourself” solution for tattoo removal, which can be done in the privacy of your own home. These removal creams are often a “kit” with two or more creams which are applied topically to the skin (this means just to the surface of the skin) and over time, will expel or break down the ink in the skin, leaving either a faded together or leaving no tattoo at all. This method is suggested for older tattoos or tattoos which were done with low quality equipment and inks. High quality tattoo work will require repeated applications which could make this solution prohibitively costly as compared to other solutions below. Note that there is no pain or risk of scarring using tattoo removal creams.

2. Rejuvi Cream.

Similar in name only to the “creams” out there, rejuvi cream is an advanced technique for getting the tattoo off your flesh. Patients are treated by a trained medical professional who will use a device to push rejuvi cream into the tattoo of the patient. It then bonds with the ink. The body will see the bonded ink and rejuvi cream as a foreign entity and push it out of the body in the form of a scab. Over repeated treatments, this leaves the skin entirely tattoo free.

3. Laser Techniques.

Laser tattoo removal is one of the most well known and efficient techniques for tattoo removal. This solution requires going in for multiple treatments from a professional clinic. Over repeated treatments, a tattoo can be entirely removed from the skin. There is minimal to no risk of scarring from this technique. Most people do find the laser removal process painful, but no more painful than getting the tattoo originally.

One final note is the use of cover up tattoos. If you have a tattoo you no longer want, consider that instead of paying for its removal, you can pay to have it covered up with a better tattoo. The techniques for covering up is likely better than you imagine these days, so talk to an artist to get their thoughts before making a decision either way.

Tattoo Removal Creams And Bad Tattoos

July 14th, 2009
by Trippidi Brown

Tattoo have definitely made their way into mainstream society. While there’s definitely a surviving stereotype that lumps tattoos as part of a dirty lifestyle, most people just see them as not much different than ear piercings. Finally, it’s just not a big deal. The irony to this situation is with tattoos becoming so common, the removal of tattoo is becoming more common than ever, too!

If this describes you, let’s take a look at one of the most confusing subjects related to tattoo removal: creams. Tattoo removal creams – also sometimes called lotions – are sold usually in a “kit” consisting of multiple creams which are applied to the skin and aim to fade or altogether remove a unwanted tattoo. But how do they work? More to the point, do they work?

All of the tattoo removal creams on the market work the same way, despite claims to the contrary by the manufacturers. The user is instructed to apply the creams to the skin above the tattoo. The cream will then seep into the skin and break up the ink.

As treatments continue, the ink of the unwanted tattoo is pushed out. New layers of skin will form, and with each layer, there is less and less tattoo ink. Some of the creams out there bond with the ink and will obviously move it towards the surface of the skin. The body will expel it, seeing it as a foreign substance to get rid of. After the first two creams are applied, usually a third cream is placed on the skin to soothe and rejuvenate.

By default, any tattoo removal cream is going to be expected to remove a tattoo. However, you might notice the word “fade” thrown in every now in then in place of the word remove. Which is it? Does this mean not all tattoos can be removed? Are some easier removed than others?

There are tattoos which are going to see better success than others when it comes to using these types of products. At the top of the list is older, badly done tattoos, which ties with amateur tattoos done using amateur or low quality inks and inking methods. This doesn’t mean that a professional or new tattoo cannot be removed with creams; it does mean though that it may take many more treatments, and financially you’d do better to just spend that money on another technique, such as laser removal.

Tattoos – Why Are They Permanent?

July 12th, 2009
by Chris Hartman

Today, tattoos are one of the most common forms of body art, popular especially among young adults. They are a form of art and self expression. Tattoos can signify many things – from important life events to a sense of identity, respect, love and spiritual depth. More than fifty million people in the United States have at least one.

Tattoos don’t disappear with time, we all know that, but did you ever wondered why? How come they don’t just fade away over time? In this article, we will try to shed some light on this matter.

If we want to understand tattoos, we must understand how our skin works. Our skin is built up of three major layers – epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis. Epidermis is the visible outer layer that protects our bodies. Dermis is the second layer. It consist of blood vessels, nerve ends, collagen fibers, elastic fibers, fibroblasts, etc. The last layer, called hypodermis, consists primarily of connective tissue and fat.

Now comes the interesting part. Tattoos are injected into the second layer of the skin – the dermis. And they stay there, unchanged, because the dermis stays pretty much the same throughout our lives.

Our skin is alive. The outer layer – the epidermis sheds a huge amount of cells every day. If tattoo ink doesn’t go deep enough, it will simply fade away. This is the main reason why amateur tattoos tend to fade overtime.

On the other hand, if the ink goes too deep, into the hypodermis, it can look blurred and smudgy. It can also cause pain, bleeding, and even infection. A needle should go an average of 1/16 of an inch (1.5mm) into the skin.

Tattooing is a skill that requires plenty of practice and talent. If you choose to get a tattoo, experienced artists are always the way to go. You don’t want a tattoo that will fade away or look blurred, do you?

Rejuvi Cream: A Great Method For Tattoo Removal

July 10th, 2009
by Trippidi Brown

Do you have a tattoo you no longer want anymore? If so, read this article as it will discuss the use of rejuvi cream for tattoo removal. This is a relatively new method for taking a tattoo permanently off the body. It is not to be confused with other amateur techniques – in fact, you have to have it performed by a professional, and it required repeated treatments. The technique itself is ironically a bit similar to getting a tattoo, save for the fact that it’s actually doing the opposite – removing it!

Let’s take a close look at how this works while providing some additional information on the rejuvi technique so you can decide if it is something you’ll be interested in.

The rejuvi method works very well to get rid of a tattoo. But why would you want to do that? Maybe the tattoo was done badly in the first place. Maybe you simply do not identify with the tattoo anymore. Maybe you made the worst mistake around and got your lovers name inked into your arm and then broke up. Whatever the reason, rejuvi is a viable option for taking it off your body forever.

The application of the cream is done by a trained medical professional. This distinguishes it from other techniques which are advertised as “do it yourself” and “easy” but realistically, they do not always work very well. Getting rejuvi treatments will require that you go into a professional center and have the work done by someone who knows what they are doing. Despite it being called “rejuvi cream”, this is not a mere “tattoo removal cream” like so many others. How is it different?

When you go in for Rejuvi treatments, the doctor or a medical assistant will sit you down and begin treating the tattooed area with a tool that ironically looks much like a tattoo gun. But instead of putting ink into the skin, this device will put rejuvi cream into the skin. Rejuvi then bonds with the ink. The body treats the rejuvi cream – and now the tattoo ink that its bonded with – as a foreign object in the body, and moves to expel it from the skin. A scab will form as the material gets pushed out of the body, eventually coming to the surface of the skin and then falling off. With it, a piece of the tattoo ink is permanently gone from the body. Repeated treatments will then entirely remove all ink from the flesh.

Rejuvi treatments are now widely available in Europe and North America. Most experts see it as a safe, effective, and relatively inexpensive method of tattoo removal. Luckily it carries minimal to little risk of scarring and has few bad side effects during treatments. If you’re looking for a way to remove that unwanted tattoo, consider using rejuvi!

Koi Tattoos – The Meaning Behind Them

June 30th, 2009
by James Leonard

Have you finally made up your mind and have decided upon getting a tattoo done in the near future? If this is true, then you should know the meaning behind the tattoo you are going to get. Believe it or not, nearly everything has a meaning behind it and it is important for you to learn that meaning. Have you bee thinking about the koi tattoos? You may want them simply because they are a beautiful fish, but did you know that there is so much more to them? That’s right, this fish actually holds a meaning. As we continue this article, we are going to give you some more facts by telling you the meaning behind this specific body art.

The koi fish is much more than a member of the carp family. They are known for being a very mystical fish that is well loved in China and other parts of the world. Koi stands for determination, strength, advancement and courage. If you think you have courage, strength, determination and advancement, then we do not see any reason why you should not get this tattoo.

However, at the same time as meaning love, it could also mean selfish. The orient koi is a symbol that means good luck.

China actually has a legend about this fish. It describes the fish swimming to a waterfall up the Yellow River. If it is at a Dragon Gate, then the fish will be able to jump over the waterfall it swam to where it will turn into a dragon.

The next time you see koi tattoos on one of your friends, feel free to talk to them about the meaning behind this tattoo as they will more than likely have a lot to tell you about it.

A Historical Overview Of Tattooing

June 27th, 2009
by Chris Hartman

Today, tattooing is more popular and accepted than ever before in history. People who get tattoos usually see them as a way of expressing themselves. In America, more than one third of young adults have at least one tattoo. They are considered cool, acceptable and attractive. In this article we will take a quick look at the history of tattooing.

Tattooing has been around since at least Neolithic times. The oldest known tattoo was found on a 5,300-year-old mummy discovered on an Alpine glacier in 1991. Otzi the Iceman, as is the nickname of the mummy, had 57 tattoos running along his back, left knee and ankles. Otzi is the first known tattooed human.

Tattooed mummies have been found throughout the world. One of the most famous is the ancient Egyptian mummy of Amunet, a priestess of goddess Hathor – the goddess of joy, love and motherhood. Amunet lived around 2160-1994 BC.

From ancient Egypt tattooing spread all over the ancient world – Greece, Rome, Persia, Arabia, China and Japan. It was always very important to Polynesian people, certain tribal groups in the Philippines and Indonesia, and also to Mayan, Aztec, and Inca cultures.

Polynesian tattooing has been around for thousands of years, long before the arrival of the Europeans. It was and still is an important part of Polynesian culture. When Captain Cook and other explorers of the Pacific visited them, they were astonished by the level of complexity and skillfulness of their body art.

The word tattoo is believed to originate from the Tahitian word “tatau” which means “to mark something”. Captain Cook was the first westerner to describe the art of tattooing with the word tatau. After his encounter with Polynesians in 1768 he mentioned it in his journal.

Thanks to sailors and explorers in the eighteenth century, tattoos gradually became popular in the western world. In the twenty-first century they are one of the most popular choices for body art and appear to have gained a wide social acceptance.

What Are Some Really Cool Wrist Tattoos?

June 20th, 2009
by James Leonard

Putting a tattoo on your body should be a choice that you consider with much thought. You know the old saying, it’s a permanent mark on your body, one that will always be there. However, it’s up to you what you put on your body.

The wrist does not have a lot of skin or extra fat on it, for most people anyway. The way it’s always been put to me before is that if you’re close to bone, it’s going to hurt. For that fact alone I have never even gone close to the wrist.

There are many different ideas for tattoos, and going into a shop you will see many designs not only on the walls, but in books, and even on computer. Look through all of these places to see if you find something you think will look good.

Normally as the artist will begin the outline of the tattoo, it will hurt, unless you are oblivious to pain. Which in that case have a blast you won’t feel a thing. But as the artist keeps going the area will actually become a bit numb.

When picking out a tattoo for the wrist you may want to stick with a smaller design though. Something like a simple looking cross, or a Celtic symbol would be cool even. Maybe you have a favorite saying that you are constantly telling everyone, instead of saying it, have it tattooed on your wrist.

Finally, as stated before a tattoo is a serious decision. One that should not be taken lightly either. Although there are ways where a tattoo can now be removed, why not just be sure when you first do it. The wrist is a spot where people will see the tattoo, so if you are afraid of what people will think, make sure you pick something that is not x-rated. Remember also you may need to explain it to grandkids one day.

Design Your Own Tattoo

June 1st, 2009
by Peter Maier

Uniquely Your Own

Tattoos are an art form that has been passed down throughout the human history. They all vary in meaning and design. Tattoos have peaked in our era so much that it’s difficult to get your own tattoo, meaning a design that is unique. So why not design your own tattoo? With that being said one should put a decent amount of thought into what they are getting. Some tattoo artists often suggest taking a basic picture and adding details pertaining to yourself, therefore encouraging you to design your own tattoo.

Folk get tattoos for lots of different reasons ; the most elementary design may have a terribly complicated meaning. A tattoo could be a tribute to an idol or loved one, evidence of an event, a non secular symbol, a favorite personality, or anything that you want to carry with you forever. What and why of your design is just the 1st part. You should also decide where you need to wear and then come up with your own tattoo in an appropriate way.

Before a tattoo artist draws your artwork they will always ask where you want it to be placed or if you would like to design your own tattoo. Those who have never been tattooed may not believe this to be relevant. Certain tattoos are not appropriate for just anywhere on your body, yet some do have that universal quality.

A person who has a certain occupation may have to be tattooed on a place that is coverable, whereas some free souls do not have to consider that. The size, color, shape, and message of the tattoo should be taken into consideration. If you design your own tattoo, you can think of colors and size which match your persona.

There are numerous strategies to build your own tattoo. One of the most popular methods is to design it on the internet. Is it critical to design your self? It is not compulsory but you can bump in people who would be wearing similar tattoos while on a visit to the local mall. The tattoo shops have a limited collection to choose from. Remember the tattoo will remain on your body forever, unless you plan to remove it by the dear laser treatment.

How can you design your own tattoo? One way is to take several bits and pieces from other designs and put them together. The web has a plethora of designs. There is an enormous database and a quick hunt on internet will divulge enough tattoo designs within a few minutes. When you get your own tattoo it is normal to be scared, especially if it is your first. Do not believe what others make have said, it does hurt.

Getting a tattoo is getting stuck with a needle many times. Yes after a little while the discomfort isn’t intolerable, but you can feel it. This reason isn’t to frighten you, but it is to tell you so you know what can be expected when getting your own tattoo. At times folk do use the method of getting tattooed as a coping mechanism. So you create your own tattoo that is little yet exhibit a forcing meaning.

To the contrary it’s correct when folk tell you that tattoos are addicting. If you have recently gotten your own tattoo, then you’re totally aware of this. When you go to the tattoo parlor to get a new design on your body, sadly you aren’t shown many options. You are forced to create your own tattoo so you showcase a particular art. Essentially the final analysis is if you like to have tattoos on your body – come up with your own tattoo!

What should you get for your First Tattoo?

April 24th, 2009
by Amanda Davis

Getting your first tattoo is a decision most people ponder on. The best answer is; something about you as a person. Tattoos are representations of something important in your life.

Many military personnel will get tattoos representing the branch of service they are in or their unit number or nickname. This is a sign of pride and bravery for many. A sign of love can be the name of your mate, the dates of your children’s births, a tattoo representing a loved one who has passed and even a characture of someone special in your life.

When tattoos began, they were used to depict the group of people that a specific person belonged to. They were used to illustrate bravery and pride as well. Today, many people are designing their own tattoos for the “exclusive” rendition of their pride, love or bravery.

When you want to get a tattoo, before getting one, you must choose the tattoo design first. This doesn’t mean you must have a particular design selected but at least an idea of what you want in its design. Like the saying goes, “lovers may come and go but a tattoo is forever!” This saying might be no longer be true today as it was once with the growing popularity of laser surgery, nevertheless tattoos are meant to be everlasting.

Before selecting what to get, imagine about significant events in your life and how you would want it represented. Starting out with a small tattoo is always a great idea so in case if you don’t like it, you can always have it covered by a larger tattoo.

Seek an advice from a tattoo artist. And a great idea for a first time tattoos. Tattoo artist can help you choose what to get and where. They do this as a livelihood and definitely know that what they are doing in terms of permanent designs.

Tattoos for example cartoon characters, movie characters; themed as well as tribal tattoos are only considered for the serious. These tattoo designs are slow and expensive. Your chosen tattoo must represent yourself, your likes or may represent your life.

In getting your first tattoo, there is no right or wrong about it but your must remind yourself that each tattoo says a story about an event in your life that is significant to you.
