Tips For Event Photography

January 27th, 2010

One of the many ways you can make money as a photographer is to specialise on events. Christenings, weddings, and all sorts of other events where people create memories can be well paid business. The great thing is that all you need is a great camera, lots of memory, and a stack of business cards.

What to do

Cover only events where it is hard for people to take the pics themselves and where they will want to keep their memories frozen in film.

One idea is to go to kids sports events. Get permission from the coach to click pics for the parents watching and then start clicking away. If you turn up with a wopping big telephoto lens like the ones used for pro coverage of events, you will be taken seriously. Make sure you get all the kids doing great action shots and then hand out flyers to all the kids’ parents watching with your web address. If you can grab the parents email address so you can email them the URL of you site then upload the pics to your web site that day and email everyone. If you have a simple shopping cart set up you can make money in a few hours as people pop in to see the pics and buy them for $20 or more a pop.

You can do a similar thing with weddings. Take all the normal pictures as part of the wedding coverage but then get your URL printed on the wedding invites and all the other wedding materials and also get an email list of all the wedding guests, offer the couple a nice 20% discount for doing this and then take lots of extra pics at the wedding of the guests doing all the things they do. Upload all the pics to your site and send the emails. You will then make a lot more money than the 20% discount it cost you because then 30 or 40 people will be also purchasing your pics at $20 or more a shot straight from your site. You can also charge a higher price for high resolution pics.

The trick is to find a corner in the market where you can excel by being the best photographer in the room, and offering an easy way for people to buy your photos.

Dog shows, fashion shows, horse shows, car shows, livestock competitions, rock shows, – the list goes on. Keep your eye out in the events section of your local paper to see what is happening. Always ask for permission to shoot pics and if you need to offer the people 10% of the income if feel you need to so you can get easy access.

Picking The Right Franchise For You

October 6th, 2009
by Bob Charlton

Franchises come in all shapes and sizes and offer all kinds of business opportunities. You can choose from several hundred service orientated franchise businesses, covering nearly every niche market you could think of.

Choosing the right one is pivotal to the franchisee’s overall success. Select one that is troubled, or is unstable and you risk wasting your time and money. But pick one that’s up-and-coming, that has proven methods and plans established, and you can easily become a success.

This part of the franchising process, far more than any others, is the sole responsibility of the potential franchisee to get right. The advice of a franchise consultant can be sought, but their objectivity can sometimes be questionable. Regardless of what franchise industry is being considered though, a sound evaluation can be made by asking the following questions:

Does the vision of the company match with yours?

How old is the company?

For what time did it operate for independently before offering itself as a franchise business?

How is the reputation of the brand perceived?

What types of franchises are they offering?

What number of franchisees have already joined them?

How many multi-unit franchisees are in the system?

Have any franchisees left the company? Why?

What is the franchise fee and what does it cover?

What is the royalty fee?

How many years is the franchise contract for?

Who is in charge of the franchise business? What are their qualifications?

What training does the franchisor provide? Is on-going support provided?

Which regions are they operating in?

Where are raw materials sourced?

Does the franchisor offer financial assistance?

Does the franchisor provide real estate support?

What number of employees are required?

What employee recruitment is offered?

What is the marketing plan?

Asantae Work At Home Review

October 6th, 2009
by Lawrence Tam

Heart disease is a major killer causing a number of casualties worldwide. Asantae aims to address this problem by preventing and protecting people from death causing heart ailments. Let’s find out more about the company and explore the scope of the business opportunity offered by Asantae.

The Asantae Company

In 2001, Asantae Inc was set up by Keyvan Taheri, Dwight C Lundell, Jeff Jordan and Dan Lundell to promote a range of products that would improve the quality of life and prevent heart problems.

Products

- HeartShot

Most body ailments including cardiac problems are caused by inflammation. HeartShot is a blend of anti-inflammatory factors such as Omega-3, Conjugated Linoleic Acid and antioxidants. These factors arrest inflammation and prevent ailments.

- Colorad Advanced

Obesity and excess weight lead to many health problems. Colorad helps in keeping a check on weight gain, thereby preventing many major health complaints.

- Agrisept-L

This product promotes good bacteria aids good metabolism.

- The Asantae Juice

Contains extracts from 11 fruits that have strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Asantae MLM – How Does It Work?

You join the Asantae network when you buy a Director?s Pack for $199. This pack comes with ten mailer packs that you?d have to send to people you know. If you get three out of these ten to join your team, you?ll be entitled to team earnings. As a rep, you could also buy Asantae products at wholesale rates and sell at retail value. Other than this, there are enough team bonuses and matching bonuses that would tempt anyone to leave their regular work to join Asantae as a Health Ambassador?.

Asantae Sounds Too Good To Be True? Here?s A Reality Check

Like all traditional MLM companies, you?d need to take Asantae to your near and dear ones and convince them of the benefits of a $199 product that would be highly beneficial to their heart and maybe their wallets. The problem is, when you deal with people you know, your contacts database is limited; even if you make $50 per person you bring in, you won?t be able to bring in more than 4-5 people per month. After a while, your contacts would dry up, and then you?ll face a problem earning income through Asantae.

You might encounter difficulties while convincing healthy people to subscribe to heart care programs; most people like to think they won?t face such problems.

Earning With Asantae

Asantae offers a good scope to earn well provided you don?t stick to the tried and tested method of operating within your network. The world beyond yours has a vaster network to tap and use the Internet to effectively promote your products to a wider market. Though you?ll have your own promoter website, you need to know the right techniques of marketing to divert a good volume of web traffic to your site and collect leads. You could use various marketing tools in the internet to propagate your business through real stories and testimonials; these are more likely to have an effect on customers.

October 5th, 2009
by Alice Byers

Have you looked up how to make money from home lately? If you have, then you know as well as I do that there are hundreds of people that are ready to answer your question, only to take your money in the process.

How in the world are you supposed to figure out which sites are legitimate money making opportunities, and which ones aren’t. Then you have to watch out for the scams, gimmicks, and impractical programs in between.

I know how you might be feeling right now because I was exactly where you are not so long ago. It can be frustrating and confusing mastering the secrets to making money from home.

My suggestion is start by looking for ways to make money from home that don’t require a lot of risk. You will find out that there are ways to make money on the internet with little to no money down.

The next thing to do is look into free affiliate marketing programs. With affiliate marking, you can sell other peoples products for commissions that start from 40% and go as high as 75% of the total price of the product.

The thing about affiliate marketing is that it is low risk. You do not have to worry about creating your own product or how to build a website. You do not have to process orders or ship products.

The idea is to lead the customer to the sales page. The point of the sales page is to get the customer to click that wonderful “Pay Now” button. The merchant takes care of customer service issues, refunds, and most importantly your commission.

There is a lot of money you can make through Affiliate Marketing without taking too much out of your bank account if you do it right.

Amway Opportunity – Still Valid Business?

October 3rd, 2009
by Lawrence Tam

In 1959, two friends Jay Van Andel and Richard Devos started a joint venture to distribute consumer durables through network marketing. The business was a success and was called Amway, short for the American Way. Their first project, a multipurpose cleaner was accepted well by customers and this led to diversification in product range as well as globalisation. In a matter of 20 years, Amway had an established global presence and as many as three million reps.

What Does Amway Sell?

Amway Global offers products that cater to a wide range of consumer needs. Some of the most popular products are discussed below.

? The Nutrilite brand has a range of supplements that help keeping the body fit and energetic.

? Artistry is Amway?s brand of beauty-care products.

? Amway has come out with Satinique, a unique formula shampoo to cater to hair-care.

? The Glister toothpaste is a popular Amway creation.

? SA8 is a biodegradable laundry detergent for cleaner clothes.

? Amway?s water purifier, Espring is effective in controlling contaminants from polluting drinking water.

? For the kitchen, Amway has come out with icook, a comprehensive range of cookware created with care.

The Amway MLM Opportunity

Being an MLM based venture, Amway offers customers an opportunity to become an IBO and distribute the company?s products. Most customers are induced by the income prospects, bonuses promised and the company?s promise to help them earn as well as the top earners in Amway. However, often superior products also have a superior price tag as is the case with Amway.

A Critical Review Of The Income Prospects In Amway

Your Amway product could be good, but that doesn?t mean you?ll be able to sell all your merchandise. Amway may have its benefits with good margins, regular training sessions that motivate reps to seek business and interesting bonuses, parties and team outings where you could have a lot of fun. However, Amway trains its distributors to follow the conventional style of network marketing; call people in your network, convince them to buy the product and join as a distributor, get leads from them and repeat the process. This technique is operational only till your list of contacts lasts; after this, work may seem unrewarding.

This method leads to the MLM pyramid structure, which is even considered illegal in some countries. New reps complain that in spite of putting in hard work, most of the money seems to go to people higher in the pyramid. Now, you?ll contact people you hardly know, speak to anyone you meet in a public place and call little known people to parties where the main agenda, Amway, is kept a suspense.

Amway Wrap Up

Though this may seem discouraging, the flaw is not in the products or the company. It?s only in the techniques employed by distributors. Hundreds of reps have made big money in Amway by just using the right marketing knacks.

What are the right Amway techniques?

Sell your products to people who are interested in buying them. Market your business to reach these people and get them to contact you. Cold calling and arranging meetings are now outdated; get all work done through the internet. Online marketing is sure to bring in more profits than you?d ever expect. Establish a system that gets you leads to follow up on and get orders from. You just need to master tricks to advertise selectively on the net to reach your target market.

What You May Find At Storage Auctions

September 28th, 2009
by Philip Duncan

Are you thinking about making money with mini storage auctions? If so, you may be curious as to how the whole process works.

When looking to profit from mini storage auctions, you place a bid. As for what you are bidding on, it depends. You may bid on a sealed storage bin or a whole storage unit. Different companies host different types of auctions. To make a profit, you take the items you bought and resell them. Since you are essentially making a wholesale purchase and paying one fee for many items, there is the potential to make money.

One common question I’m asked is “how much money can I make?” It does depend on how much you spend at a mini storage auction. The less money you spend, the more you can make. It also depends on your resale methods, as some are more successful than others. Many use Craigslist.org, flea markets, and yard sales to sell locally. As for selling online, many use eBay.com. What you buy can also impact your profits, as some items are more valuable than others are.

Since what you buy at a mini storage auction will have an impact on your profits, you may be wondering what is available for sale. It depends. People use mini storage units for a wide range of purposes. Some use them when consolidating two homes into one. Others use them to store household items when they relocate to a smaller place. Storage units are also used to house items that people no longer need, but still want to hold onto, such as family heirlooms or financial documents.

Despite the possibility of a variance, depending on the storage unit in question, there are some items you are likely to find at a mini storage auction.

Furniture is nice because it is easy to spot. Unfortunately, you dont always get to see or inspect merchandise up for bid, but furniture can be seen from far away. Look for furniture that is antique in nature, as it worth more. That being said, furniture is something that people need; therefore, it can be resold for a profit.

Home decor often makes it way to mini storage units. Some homeowners change their decor on a yearly basis, but may not want to part with their old pictures and paintings. Home decor can be antique or cheap, but it will always resell.

Home appliances, such as microwaves, dishwashers, blenders, and toasters (just to name a few) can be found at self storage auctions. Everyone needs these items in their homes. This means that they will resell, especially at a yard sale.

It is common to find kids clothes, books, and toys in a storage unit and at an auction. This is because these are items that kids outgrow. As for why they are saved, some parents just don’t want to part with these items. Many hold onto them just in case they decide to have another child. Yard sale and eBay are popular resell markets for kids toys, movies, books, and clothes.

The above mentioned items are just a few of the many that you may find at a public storage auction. In fact, you can find just about anything ranging from antiques to jewelry to clothes to family photographs. The key is buying merchandise at a good price that you can resell for a profit.

Warehouse for Rent in Miami FL: A Reasonable Price

September 28th, 2009
by John Barton

When you own rental property, you may spend money on advertising. Promoting the vacant site, whether in small print ads in newsletters, newspapers, magazines and the Web, or in big signs and billboards, can be a necessary expense. It’s also a deductible one. So are the expenses you incur to maintain your property in good condition.

When planning to rent out warehouse storage space, take these tips into consideration – choosing warehouse storage space carelessly might cause unnecessary expenses.

Renting out space to run your small business or just store a couple items can free up much room in your home. This is a great option if you have a bunch of junk just lying around in your garage and need a place to put your brand new car. Since you don’t want to get rid of your valuables but don’t have anywhere to keep them, renting space would be a great way to get the best of both worlds.

If you have a small business, you can keep your products in the space that you rent so that it’s not in the way. A cluttered store or any other work space can hinder production and just make the area look messy.

Most storage spaces are small – about five by ten feet as a loose rule of thumb – but this is often more than enough for most companies. Try to make an inventory of which items (and how much of each) you plan to store, and ascertain just how much storage space you need. Taking storage space that’s bigger than what you really need may result in unnecessary costs, when you could have saved the company some money.

Now that you know what depreciation can do for you, I’m sure you’d like to know how to do it. Chattel Appraisal is a strategy to separate out land improvements and personal property components from the real property owned. You must be careful not to value the land too high or too low, make sure you are depreciating the property over the right period of time, and verify you are utilizing the right foundation for depreciation (many will use a basis that is too low, missing out on $$$.) These are all things you can do yourself – simple, but time consuming. Now that you know the wonders depreciation can do for you, get out there and make some magic!

The process of finding a place to store the stock can be very grueling but is well worth the effort. Renting a space to keep your belongings can make more room for the things that you need now and not the things that are worth holding on to, but you won’t use for years. Filling an order can be very simple but is also a necessary part of any small business; since they are small they do not have the room to store all of their goods so they frequently need to order goods to keep up with the demand.

Perhaps your business requires storage of goods. If you are renting warehouse space don’t forget to deduct the fee. Even storage of a much smaller kind-a safety deposit box that contains business-related papers-qualifies. Paying rent is usually a part of being both a real estate and a business owner. Make it work for you.

Warehouse Renting in Miami FL: Define Your Business Place

September 28th, 2009
by Tom Wilcox

We all know the old saying that time is money. But did you know that space is also money? It’s true. If you have empty space in a warehouse, you have to pay rent and taxes for this warehouse. You might also have to pay for lights and heat.

Sound to good to be true? It’s not; there are literally entire warehouses all over the country empty and available for freight storage, the trick is finding the quality warehouses and staying away from the bad ones.

Before searching for your warehouse, assess your needs. What type of cargo are you planning to store and for how long? Does your freight require extra special handling like climate control?

Will you need special equipment other than standard forklifts to remove your freight from the truck? Be sure to nail down your logistics before making a snap decision; you’ll want to map out points A-Z along your freight’s traveling route, and mistakes can be costly. Know the exact dimensions of your cargo including weight and measurements. Taking the time to do your homework now will save you embarrassing and expensive mishaps.

Once you have the details together, it’s time to set out on your warehouse search. You might have a few leads from colleagues, or even a few standard go-to’s that your company uses. While there’s nothing wrong with having a few aces in the hole, you’ll want to keep a few tricks up your sleeve during crunch time. The Internet is the perfect tool for doing a little background research and finding a warehouse storage solution – you just may surprise yourself by digging around and even save some money.

The next consideration is your inventory. In what ways are your goods protected? If it can be stored outdoors, is there an available stabilized outdoor storage area? If the goods must be stored indoors, is the warehouse insulated and/or climate controlled? This is particularly important if your goods are affected by the weather. If your goods consist of food and drug materials, is the warehouse FDA approved? Does the warehouse provide reliable generator service in case of an extended power outage?

If you are in Houston, your goods may have to travel by ship. Look for a warehouse that focuses on receiving ocean containers, one that will unload and store contents and then reload for further shipping. If you find a fulfillment warehouse with these characteristics, you should be able to safely entrust them with your valuable goods.

If you need space for temporary inventory quantities, you may want to rent space in a contract warehouse. The main characteristics to be considered are in the areas of the people who run the warehouse and the characteristics of the space itself.

Medical Office Rent in Miami FL: Reasonable Rates

September 25th, 2009
by Bob Barber

Regardless of what industry pundits say, opening a medical practice can be both very rewarding and very lucrative. Of course, as with any business, medical offices have their own specific financial challenges. One of the biggest challenges for medical practices of all sizes is adjusting to the long payment cycles of private insurance providers and Medicare/Medicaid.

Advantages:You pay less up-front cash. Because of mortgage down payments and closing costs, buying a space is more expensive at the outset; leasing leaves you with more start-up cash flow to put unto your practice. With leasing, there is also no risk of investment loss that comes with the ever-changing real estate market.

Property management is provided by the owner. This allows you to negotiate maintenance and repair, know the monthly and annual expenditures in advance, and focus more on your clients.

Medical receivables factoring (or medical factoring for short) is a financing tool that allows you to turn slow paying invoices into actual cash, by selling them to a medical factoring company. The medical factoring company pays you for them and waits to be paid by the insurance companies. It eliminates the slow payment cycle, reducing the payment time from 90 days to two days. This provides the medical office with the necessary funds to meet expenses, such as paying rent and staff. It also frees up capital to grow the business into new areas.

The medical factoring process is fairly simple. Once a factoring arrangement is established, your office sends its weekly receivables to the factoring company for immediate financing. The factoring company will calculate the actual amount paid by insurance companies (called the net collectibles) and advance you up to 80% of that amount.

Yet health care providers need to limit the landlord’s access to examining rooms and other areas during certain hours of the day. Generally, medical tenants will seek to place limitations on the landlord’s reentry rights. This can be done through designating certain privacy areas on a diagram showing the finished lease premises

It is common for office leases to contain provisions requiring the tenant to consent to a substitute premises should the landlord decide that it is in the landlord’s best interest to move the tenant from one suite in the building to another. Because of the specialized build-out needs of the medical tenant, medical tenants are more likely to resist these provisions.

Leasing an office space is not for everyone, just as buying is not for everyone. Carefully consider your current and projected needs to find a solution that works best for you.

Financial Destination Inc (FDi) – Opportunity Review

September 24th, 2009
by Lawrence Tam

So what exactly is FDi, and what exactly is the missing ingredient to building a successful business from the ease of your dwelling?

Before we proceed, we should go ahead and get a background on this unique company.

William Andreoli started Financial Destination Inc (FDi) in June 2003. Headquarters are located in Windham, New Hampshire which is only 30 miles from Boston, Massachusetts.

Financial Concierge Services Include:

Discount Pharmacy, EquityTrax, CreditTrax, MoneyTrax, First Class Retirement, First Class Family Legal, Dental, Vision, First Class Travel, LifeLock, and TeleDoc.

Personal Concierge Service:

Anything from Restaurant Reservations to helping your child with school work now Everyone can have a Personal Assistant. First and only VIP financial and personal concierge company and it’s no cost with membership!

So with so many features and benefits, what about the feature and benefits for advertising a business…. Online?

Like so many other successful network marketing companies, Financial Destination fails to properly teach the representative on HOW to properly market your own business online. Pushing a company replicated url is NOT a marketing plan.

A good Internet marketing plan should consist of educating the network marketer on HOW to properly build their own business online using techniques like blogging, ppc, Facebook/myspace, twitter, and many others. Of course to No fault of Financial Destination Inc to NOT teach this because when there are so many distributors wildly promoting; there is bound to be a trouble waiting to happen when those new to the business start breaking rules they are unaware of.

So to protect their business from new reps or those with low moral values, Financial Destination Inc has no choice but to NOT teach these types of marketing techniques.

This is where a Financial Destination Inc rep savvy enough to understand the power of the Internet plays a hand. Those with the foresight to educate themselves on correctly advertising their home business online will have an audience that is essentially thousands more than their own personal social circle of influence.

There is the intelligent way to building a Financial Destination business without chasing business builders.
