Trying To Conceive A Baby Girl?

December 1st, 2009

Want to add a “Daddy’s little girl” to your family? Need a girl to go with the boy/boys you already have?

By implementing three simple, all natural steps you can effectively raise you odds of conceiving a baby girl from 50/50 to well over 94%!

The late Dr. Landrum Shettles developed these three simple steps to help you conceive a child of the gender of your choosing, many years ago. Many thousands of couples have used these steps to conceive the baby girl they have always dreamed of. Let’s take a lokk at these steps in a little more detail shall we?

1. You’ll need to track your ovulation cycle precisely. This is a very important piece of the gender selection process, and you’ll need to get this right!

2. You’ll want to have sex to conceive using only shallow penetration. This is because you want to give the sperm a long and difficult journey to the egg (if wanting a girl) so the boy sperm dies off leaving only the girl sperm alive to do the deed.

3. You’ll need to control your body’s ph. There are test strips available at my site to help you keep track of you ph and help you know when the time is right! You can control your ph with your diet and taking a few supplements (over time) or much quicker by douching with the right solution, (although because of the risk of infections I would recommend using douching only under your doctors supervision.)

These techniques while being low-tech and easy to implement will still need to be implemented with precision and diligents if you are to be successful in conceiving that baby girl you desire.

Visit my site for more information as well as links to the best guides online to walk you through the process step by step. I would look at it this way: if your serious about adding a baby girl to your family seek all the help you can get, but if you fail in your efforts, well you’ll still have a beautiful little baby boy to love and cherish!

Enlisting In An Online School

November 17th, 2009

Today’s society is so advance and modern in the field of technology. Now, the internet has become a part of our daily lives; almost everything, including schooling, is done online. And since this is becoming a norm, online schools have come up with online high school courses to serve you and meet your child’s educational needs.

Most of those who enroll in these online high school courses are home schooled students. Students are also made up of young athletes who are often ‘on the road’ competing, students who are ill and unable to be in the school premises, and students who failed in traditional school and have to catch up.

Now, you might be considering sending your kids to the online school. Keep in mind that the online courses must be up to par with the state’s educational standards. If they are not, then you should forget about it and choose another class or course.

When you apply, the provider must communicate with you the standards that they meet and the requirements. If they do not, you should think twice about your application with that company.

Like everything else, the online school has its advantages and disadvantages. Let’s start with its disadvantage. Enrolling in an online school has the tendency to stifle the social growth of the students. Pupils tend to develop anti social feelings and views towards their peers because of their isolation.

However, the advantages of these online high school courses may be enough to outweigh this disadvantage. The online school permits its students to complete their work whenever they want. This flexible timetable allows the pupil to do other things; to develop a healthy social life perhaps?

Another advantage of the online school is that these online courses and classes can easily take advantage of the limitless resources available on the internet and that the student can access these resources at anytime, unlike in the library, where deadlines have to be observed.

The online school is an alternative to the traditional school setting. It is an option to take, depending on what would suit your child’s learning style best. Consider its pros and cons, and don’t rush. Online high school courses will always be available to you.

If needed, people can take online high school courses in a homeschooling environment. Classes for online school are convenient and available for grades K-12.

The Ideal Age for Taking Piano Lessons

November 3rd, 2009

Because of the many benefits of learning the piano, most parents want their children to take piano lessons. The question many parents have is: At what age should I enroll my child in a piano class?

Because children’s brains are developing at a young age, learning while young helps a child retain knowledge throughout their adult life. Most experts agree that a child should begin piano lessons when they are quite young. Some children have taken lessons as young as four years of age. Whether your child is ready for piano lessons all depends on if they have the ability to participate.

The following are a few factors that a parent should consider when planning to enroll their child in a piano class:

1. You have to make sure your child can meet the mental requirements to sit through a piano lesson. Piano lessons can be 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or one hour, depending on the teacher’s instructional methods. Can your child sit through a piano lesson or will he or she fidget and get up and walk away from the piano? Your child must be able to sit quietly. As well, can your child focus on one task for a specified length of time? That is, can he or she sit, listen, and follow directions? Or, does your child get frustrated quickly and have temper tantrums?

2. Piano lessons involve a minimal level of reading skills. A pre reading level such as the ability to distinguish between shapes is necessary. As well, your child should know the basics of the alphabet and know numbers. A child in pre-school/kindergarten should have these basic reading skills.

3. When learning to play the piano, one must be able to understand and follow directions given by the teacher. Does your child have good listening skills and follow directions when given a set of instructions?

4. Does your child show any interest in learning the piano? A child that is resistant may not be ready. Don’t force your child as it will only cause him or her to resent the lessons. Help your child understand the benefits of taking lessons and that it is fun.

Enrolling your child in a piano class will involve practice at home. Most experts feel that a child will not successfully practice by themselves at home until they are the age of 8 or 9. This means that a parent will have to site with them during their practice with their child. It is important to use positive reinforcement techniques, such as praising the child when he or she does well. If they make a mistake, be positive about the importance of practice. Never harshly criticize a child for making a mistake. The child will just start to resent playing the piano and will eventually want to quit. As well, make music a part of home life so that your child will gain appreciation for music.

Providing your child with piano lessons is an exciting moment in a parent’s life. It signifies your child is growing and learning new things. In order to ensure your child continues with piano lessons, be patient, supportive, and research a piano teacher to make sure your child is getting the best instruction.

Make beautiful music with Oakville piano classes and voice lessons. Oakville piano store also offers a wide selection of grand pianos and used pianos. Don’t reprint this exact article. Instead, reprint a free unique content version of this same article.

Summer Camp? Ask These Questions

October 13th, 2009
by Lonnie Lorenz

So you are thinking of sending your child to summer camp! Here are a few questions you need to ask that may affect your child’s stay at camp. If an area is really important for your child and you can not find the information be sure to call the Summer Camp Director and ask questions.

Facilities Take careful note of the condition of the facilities. Are the buildings well maintained, or do they show clear signs of a lack of maintenance. Though well worn and rustic buildings are perfectly ok, make sure that they are not being neglected. Specific things you’ll want to look for and ask about include:

Bunks: * Do children live in cabins, tents, or dorms? * How many beds are in each cabin? * Are they bunk beds or individual cots? * How do the campers choose which beds they want? * Where do the campers store their belongings? * Are the cabins to crowded? Is there enough storage space? Has the camp overbooked and crowded extra campers in? * Are the cabins clean? Are beds made by the campers and belongings stowed? * How many counselors sleep in each Cabin?

Bathrooms: * How near the cabins are the toilets? Does each bunk have it’s own toilets or is there a common bathhouse? * If there is a common bathhouse? Do children walk alone at night? Is the path lighted? * Are there showers in each bunk or a common area? * If the camp is coed, how separate are the shower facilities? Where? * How often and who cleans the facilities?

Waterfront or Swimming Pool: * Is the pool large enough to accommodate all swimmers? * Are the waterfront areas for swimming, boating, water skiing and diving separate and clearly marked? * What kind of waterfront equipment is provided? * What is the level of waterfront supervision and ratio of lifeguards to swimmers? * Are life jackets always worn during water sports? * Are swimming areas clearly marked? * How do they account for swimmers? Buddy board?

The Grounds: * Are playing fields freshly reseeded and mowed? * Are the trails clearly marked? * Is the equipment in good condition?

Dinning Hall:This is one of the most important areas in camp. Your child will spend 2-3 hours a day in the Dinning Hall. So make sure the Camp Directors understand this and work to make it a clean, exciting and nutritious experience Their are an increasing amount of dietary option and allergy that camps are dealing with. If you have special dietary needs don’t be forget to make sure they can accommodate you Kids Summer Camp * Is there enough space for the whole camp to be served in one seating? * Do cabins eat together? After all, this is your child’s best friends. * Are meals buffet style or are campers served? If they are served, who serves the food? * What if the camper doesn’t like the main selection? Are there alternatives? Is there a salad bar? * Are snacks served? Is there a canteen/camp store? * What is a typical menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? * Who is the kitchen director and what are his or her credentials? * What are the safety and cleanliness standards? Is the kitchen inspected by local authorities?

Remember this article has to do with the comforts of camp and not with safety at camp. The American Camp Association has a certification program that looks at over 300 different aspects of camp. It is always best to select a camp that has been ACA Accredited. ACA CAMPS

Shopping for Baby Strollers the Right Way

October 12th, 2009
by Entera Sheekor

There are many gears and gadgets to consider and buy when having a baby. Most parents spend a lot of time determining which brands and styles are right for their baby needs when it comes to car seats, cribs, swings, and strollers. Knowing the safest and most practical baby item can be confusing and stressful. However, there are a few tips to keep in mind that will make your job of choosing a baby stroller a little easier.

Above all, you want a baby stroller that is safe for transporting your baby from location to location. That is the primary purpose of the stroller, with things like storage space being secondary. A stroller should feel sturdy and not shaky. It should not easily collapse or fold. The weight limit should be examined carefully to ensure that it is appropriate for carrying your baby plus any bags that you may add to the handles or underneath compartment.

A safety harness is a must; a five point harness is a necessity for infants, though toddlers may be fine with a three point harness instead. Also make sure that before choosing a baby stroller that it has not been recalled, especially if you are looking at a used stroller.

After you find some strollers that meet the necessary safety requirements, you have to start looking at whether or not the stroller will be comfortable to push around. A stroller should be easy to push, so try it out by giving it a test drive.

You should not have to reach up or bend down to reach the handles of the stroller – if there are padded handles, this is a big plus. You should also look at the wheels, which should move smoothly.

Much of choosing a baby jogger comes in knowing your needs. How many features do you want from your stroller? Do you need extra compartments for snacks, bags, and sippy cups or just room for your baby? Depending on your needs, you may can get by with a lightweight stroller. Jogging strollers are also a consideration if you plan to be walking on rough terrain or outdoors a lot.

When you are choosing a baby stroller, you need to take the age of your children into account for sizing the stroller as well as whether you will need to push one child or two. Models which accommodate one or two children are available; double strollers are ideal if you have more than one child and there are styles which are designed for children of differing ages as well.

Choosing a baby stroller can be relatively easy as long as you know what you need from this important baby accessory. Narrow the choices down to those which meet the safety criteria and try out these strollers and consider their features before you decide on the stroller you think best. You should always try out a stroller before purchasing and if possible, ask friends and family for recommendations.

Ballet And Your Health

October 11th, 2009
by Sarah Wilkiamson

Even if you haven’t as of yet thought much about ballet dancing, once you have seen it you will see that it is more than just a form of dance. Nothing compares to watching the graceful ballet dancer who is well trained perform moves that have been perfectly choreographed, and you will likely think that you could never do something like that. Although there just might be some truth to this thought, you should still remember that you can do more with ballet dancing than just become one of the professionals. There are many benefits of ballet dancing and among them it is good for your health and the good thing is that ballet can be learned by anyone regardless of age.

Those people believe that there is nothing they can do about their back, short of going to a chiropractor or buying an expensive massage chair. Both of these are just temporary fixes so it’s time that you thought about something more permanent. Most of the time chronic backaches are related to constant slouching. Ballet will force you to straighten your back out, and is therefore healthy for you.

For those with a desire to get or stay in shape ballet can be a great way to get motivated. It will strengthen the ankles and knees and in turn be significantly more flexible allowing you to move much more quickly and with less effort than was the case previously. You will feel so good and energized you may even try other sports like tennis or soccer!

One word: Confidence. If you lack it then you definitely need to try ballet. Why exactly will this help your confidence? If you can dance the way trained ballet dancers do, you will know that you have accomplished something and people will recognize you for it. You will feel so proud of yourself and rightly so. Even if you do not pursue competition in this art, you will know that you have done something that not everyone can do and that alone should make you feel great!

I have found that moving around quite a bit while thinking or after having a bad day relieves stress. Focusing on your dancing and executing the moves properly will allow your mind to wander away from the present and give you a much needed break from your everyday life.

Even though some people don’t view ballet as a sport or even as a real hobby, anyone with experience will know differently. Ballet dancing is good for your self esteem and physical fitness. If you are interested in working on those then you should go and find a ballet school nearby and start taking lessons. Even though they will cost you some money, you will gain a lot and your fitness and happiness is priceless. It doesn’t hurt to give ballet dancing a go, because you might find that you like it.

Wondering What To Do With Your Out Of Control Teen?

October 6th, 2009
by Ana Rivendera

Having children isn’t always easy, having teenagers is almost never easy. You will need to summon every ounce of your love for them at times, just so you don’t make them go live in the garden for a few years till they get their manners back.

When you have a teenager on your hands it can be very difficult not to just throw your hands up in the air and give up on them. It may be easier just to let them do whatever they want to, anything for a quiet life as my friend used to say, but long term you will almost certainly regret that decision.

Try not to think the worst, because they are 20 mins late it doesn’t mean that they have robbed a bank and run off to Reno to get married. Sometimes it just means they are late, which is annoying and if it persists then it is something that you need to address.

With all the changes in their hormones it can be difficult for a parent to know which behavior is a natural growth in the child’s personality and which ones may be the result of some sort of abuse of drugs or alcohol.

If you have been clear and given them warnings of what will happen if they misbehave then you must follow through with it. If you say you will take their driving privileges away then you must do it. If you don’t follow through on your punishment , and your rewards, then you will lose any respect for you that they have.

There comes a point where you know in your heart that you have just not got the energy, training or maybe the will to keep on dealing with your troublesome teenager. That is ok, you are not the first parent to feel like this and you certainly won’t be the last.

You are not failing as a parent if you seek assistance from a professional for your family. It is better to have to deal with some feelings of failure now while you can still talk to your kids rather than waiting till they get themselves into real trouble. Don’t wait till it is too late out of a false sense or pride.

Tips On How To Get Pregnant Fast

October 6th, 2009
by Steve Brodie

Getting pregnant can be very problematic. Around eighty five percent of couples will get pregnant within a year if they are having regular unprotected intercourse. If you are one of the twenty five percent of couples who have been trying for over a year without results, then you may have fertility problems.

Age of course is a factor in fertility, with conventional studies putting a womans fertility in decline after thirty, and a mans after around forty, though men suffer in this way far less than women. It is estimated that it will take around three to four times longer for a woman over thirty five to conceive.

Finding out how to get pregnant fast and naturally is the key, especially if you are over thirty five and dont want to wait for three or four more years to get pregnant. Despite what conventional wisdom says about age, there are natural methods that will enable you to get pregnant fast no matter if you are thirty five or forty.

First things first; you need to know your menstrual cycle back to front. Knowing when you ovulate means you can know when the right times are to try. It seems so obvious I know, but there are a surprising number of couples who dont understand the ovulation cycle and thus keep trying at the wrong times and so take longer to fall pregnant.

Keeping a record of your basal body temperature is one way to know when ovulation occurs, as your temperature will rise at this time. There are also mini microscopes designed to show the cellular pattern of your saliva. When ovulation occurs hormones change the pattern of your saliva making it visibly different and easy for you to see when the right times are to try.

It is also important to take care of your health ” tilling the soil in a manner of speaking. An important element in pregnancy preparation is folic acid, so making sure your diet is rich in folate by eating green leafy vegetables and lots of legumes is important, taking folic acid supplements helps as well. If you have any ovarian problems such as fibroids or cysts, you need to also deal with this problem, as it can be a huge inhibitor to pregnancy and cause serious infertility problems.

Rushing into surgery or drugs for fibroids and cysts is not a good idea, unless absolutely necessary because despite what you may have been told there are naturally ways to deal with fibroids and cysts. Understanding the damage that some fertility drugs and treatment can cause to your hormonal and reproductive system is important, especially given the fact that there are natural alternatives which can help you achieve pregnancy quickly and safely.

IVF and other treatments and medications are not without their complications and side effects, and sometimes this can lead to less fertility in the future. Playing around with your hormones can cause serious emotional and physical upheavals, and many couple using fertility drugs and IVF have the common problem of multiple births ” not everyone wanting a baby wants twin or triplets!.

Getting pregnant fast is easy if you do everything you can to help. Infertility is usually an indication of internal imbalances, and these are usually caused by multiple factors. That is why using a drug to treat one aspect of the problem so often yields no results. Thinking of your body as a whole, and getting your fertility treatment to address the whole will enable you to get pregnant faster, easier and without needing to use drugs.

Your dream of a healthy happy baby and a natural pregnancy are within your grasp. Tackling every piece of the fertility puzzle and understanding your body is the key to getting pregnant fast.

Looking for Aggressive Dog Behavior Training Programs

October 6th, 2009
by Aleesha London

Your dog may need aggressive dog behavior training classes. This is especially if your dog is already a threat to other animals and to humans. There are however, numerous modules and training programs vying for your attention. How do you know which programs you should trust?

Real Expertise

You may opt for either an instruction manual or a real trainer. In any case, the person behind a training program for dogs should be a real expert. He should have enough experience under his belt to make him a credible trainer or source of information about dog training. You don’t want to trust your dog to someone who has a fake trainer’s certification. You can try to find out how good an expert really is by asking about his credentials. You can also ask fellow dog owners if they know anything about the trainer you are considering.

Owner Involvement

Keep in mind that you are the one living with your dog, not your trainer. It is therefore quite crucial that a training program or module that you are considering has provisions for owner participation. This means a dog expert should also be willing to help you understand the reasons behind your dog’s behavior and the rationale behind the techniques you will be using to control your dog. After all, you don’t want to be a mindless automaton with no idea why you need to do or say certain things to make your dog obey.

Affordability

Your dog may need aggressive dog behavior training programs to tame him or her. Even so, you don’t want to go bankrupt paying for them. Whenever possible you would want to pay for an expertly made training program that will not cost you a fortune. Unfortunately, many training classes do cost a lot. You would have to be more patient and resourceful if you want to find one that will fit your budget perfectly. Consider looking through newspaper ads, yellow pages and online directories.

Effectiveness

Keep in mind that dog trainers and experts don’t always agree. One expert might tell you one thing while another might tell you otherwise. Which one should you consider following? The most effective technique always has an edge. The question is: how do you know which techniques are effective? This is where you might have to do a little more research. There are bound to be some dog owners out there who will swear by a good program or module for dog training. Search in online forums and review sites for owner recommendations.

Humane Techniques

You don’t need to be a dog expert to know when a technique isn’t good. Before you consider a training program or module, try to find out first the general guiding principle behind it. Believe it or not, some experts still incorporate physical harm in their training modules. You should know though that the use of too much hitting and electric shock might make your dog even more aggressive or emotionally scarred. Always opt for humane modules.

Aggressive dog behavior training has been known to help tame millions of aggressive dogs. With the right training program or module, you will be able to finally have the loving dog of your dreams.
