Now, I focus on functional training and getting lean. I must say that this has worked better and I have been able to stick with my workouts, training period and have been able to eat clean. This makes it a lot better and a lot easier, while at the same time it makes me feel great. And I don’t forget to sleep and to get adequate rest which is also an important part of training.

Getting to know all about body part training, doing sets and reps combined with proper form and speed of movement. Also, rest between sets that follows a proper frequency is all part of my exercise routine.

There is no rocket science behind it as long as you make your bodybuilding goals realistic (not expecting to have abs in 6 weeks if you’re 60-lbs overweight). However, the results I am getting give the absolute best bodybuilding workouts ever just by following these simple principles.

Using exercise bands to train the upper body

If you have ever been to a gym, you have probably seen the “muscle guys” who stands in front of the mirrors. Most people who train at the same gym want to be just like these guys. The “secret” to what they do is to focus most of the training on the upper body.

Standing in front of a mirror is not the only way you can sculpt your upper body. The use of exercise bands has become more and more popular, and it really does work.

In this article you will be introduced to three different exercises that you can do with the resistance bands. They are all very easy to perform and they are easy to adjust to your own level. Start out with about fifteen repetitions on all the exercises and increase as you get stronger.

The chest press

For this exercise you need only your exercise bands and something that is stable and upright, like a pole. First you wrap the bands around the pole behind you. Hold the bands in both hands, with the tubes on the inside of the wrists. Then push forward in an almost circular motion. This is a great workout for both the arms and the chest.

The over bent row

Once again an exercise for the arms and chest. This one is even simpler. Start with standing on the center of the bands. Make sure your hips are at a ninety degree angle, and pull up until the torso and repeat.

The bicep curl

A real classic that is still up and running. Start with both feet on the center of the bands. Grab band with both hands and pull up with your underarm. Adjust the resistance with adjusting where you grip the bands.

There are a lot of exercises that you can use to tone your upper body. Start with these three simple ones and you will be well on your way to getting the “perfect body”. You should of course combine them with some other basic exercises like sit ups.
